Knocking out the remaining items on the v4.0 Specifics To-Do List on the Roadmap, today's checkbox goes next to "Activity Log RSS Display of Calendar Events" in confirming that Calendar Events are displaying correctly. Events displayed in the Syndication Feed normally display the Application Name as the item's subject. "Sueetie News," "Community Wall," etc. Calendar events don't have a specific application name and thus displayed "Other or Unknown" as the subject. The subject now is specified by you.
And "what if we have multiple calendars???" Good point. A better item subject in that case would be "New Calendar Event" or something more generic. While it wouldn't take many lines of code to customize feed item subject display by calendar, we'll save that for a future release…or you can make it happen with Atomo.
While we were tweaking the Activity Syndication Feed we localized "Member Services," the heading for new member registrations. The following screenshots should conclude today's episode.
