Sueetie has long provided community-wide support for banning spammers by IP Range, preventing them from dumping their crap on our community streets. It also prevents them from logging in as well as creating new accounts once banned. We're going to see that in action here.
The email that inspired this blog post is below. It was sent to the Sueetie.com Site Admin when a spammer who was blocked several months ago tried to create a new account.

We're masking the particulars to protect the stupid, but you can be sure it wasn't a legitimate user trying to be a part of the community. What if we're wrong in designating a user as a spammer and preventing them from creating an account? That's where the Contact Form comes in, which we mention on the Banned User Registration Response message. We apologize "for the snafu" and ask that the user contact us to let us know. Oh, and "Thanks much!"

About Sueetie Blogs
Sueetie Blogs are written and managed by the Sueetie News and Marketing Team. Posts
are published under the account "News Pop" which is a shared account used by our
team. Because we're a bunch of lollipops here at Sueetie HQ, News Pop stands for News Lollipop.
