The Sueetie Event Calendar is one of Sueetie's core features. All Sueetie Community Content (blog posts, CMS pages, Marketplace Products, Forum Topics and so on), is integrated with the Calendar so that events can be linked back to the content for more information.
Calendar integration for Wall Messages came about because I wanted to add a wall message to the Sueetie.Com Event Calendar, which is for the most part a Changelog in Calendar Format. The Calendar works well to highlight ongoing Sueetie development. And because of the Calendar Integration in Sueetie, readers who want more information about the update can click and go to what is typically a blog post or wiki page for the details. Coming in Sueetie v4.0 they will be able to click to Wall Messages as a source for more information as well.
Here's a Sueetie Event Calendar screenshot with each event linked to various types of Sueetie Content.
Linking to a Wall Message
Each Sueetie Wall Message has an associated Permalink which displays the wall message and its comments. To link a wall message to a calendar event you will go to the wall message's permalink page where you will find the Calendar icon. The Calendar Icon will only appear for users with ContentAdministrator Role Permissions.
When you click on the Calendar icon the Event Calendar Entry form will display where you can provide additional description, select a calendar for display and chose an event type. Like all Sueetie Events, repeat dates and date ranges are supported.
If the Wall Message contains a Subject it will automatically appear in the Calendar Entry form. Otherwise you will need to supply a topic.

About Sueetie Blogs
Sueetie Blogs are written and managed by the Sueetie News and Marketing Team. Posts
are published under the account "News Pop" which is a shared account used by our
