Sueetie is a free, an open source .NET-based online community framework using the following open source social networking .NET applications recognized as the best in their class for blogging, wikis, forums and media galleries:


Sueetie is designed so these great applications run natively with as little modification from the framework as necessary to function as a single online community. That way, whenever any of the applications are updated we can bring those improvements and new features to Sueetie quickly.

How to Get Sueetie

Sueetie comes in two flavors, in a single web package called Gummy Bear and a Developers package called Atomo. Gummy Bear includes a complete community website with a single install page that will enable you to setup your Sueetie Online Community in minutes. Developers can use the Atomo Development Package containing all applications and framework source code in a single Visual Studio Solution to customize their communities and add new features. Both Gummy Bear and Atomo are free to all registered users and available in the Sueetie Marketplace.

Who Created Sueetie

Sueetie is built and managed by Dave Burke whose company Dave Burke Consulting is a Microsoft Certified Partner specializing in custom Online Communities with the Sueetie Framework. Dave lives in Burlington, Vermont where he has worked out of his home office as a freelance developer and online community consultant since 2000. Licensing

Each of the applications released with Sueetie use the GNU General Public License, so Sueetie abides by that same licensing model. That is, you are free to use Sueetie and the applications in Sueetie as long as you abide by the GNU GPLv2 statements in use and redistribution. As Sueetie becomes a more customizable and commercial product on which to build new applications, this basic licensing model may be expanded to support those new user opportunities. Read more...
