A description of the Global Sueetie Footer Menu Control and how to configure and use it.

General Description of the Footer Menu Control

The Global Footer Menu Control is very much like the Global Site Menu Control in that it can be used across all community applications. Like the Site Menu Control, the Footer Menu Control contains an HTML Markup file in /themes/THEME/config/footer.config and an ID description list in the /util/config/Sueetie.config file. It supports auto-display based on the user's access permissions.

The footer.config and sueetie.config description

The footer.config file is the HTML version of the footer menu. It is customizable by theme and located in /themes/THEME/config.

A menu ID description list is added to the site Sueetie.config file to define any menu items which are restricted by role.

Using the Footer Menu Control

Once you setup the footer.config and the menu ID description list you can drop the Footer Menu Control in any application.

Use Example

Below are two versions of the Footer Menu Control as seen on my personal website. The Control Panel and Blog Administration links are shown in the first, as it is using my user roles. The second footer menu is the filtered view based on a non-admin user account.
