A tentative roadmap for Sueetie Development for Version 4.1 and beyond. This document is maintained and reflects the state of current development. Roadmap lists for past releases have been removed.
Sueetie v4.1 To-Do Specifics
These are specific items planned for Sueetie Version 4.1 release planned for Summer 2012. For latest features completed and coming in v4.1 please see the
Sueetie Changelog.
- Leaderboards, Points and Badges - Analytics will get a lot of attention for Version 4.1 with new Member Leaderboards and the supporting infrastructure of points, badges and engagement metrics.
- Inline CMS Page Creation - Ability to create CMS pages from the page. Currently CMS pages can only be created in Sueetie Administration.
- Batch User Approve/Unapprove The "Approve Users" administration feature needs the ability to approve and unapprove multiple users
- Marketplace upload improvements Not require manual creation of current year product folder for downloads. Also, providing optional FTP to file upload control for Product Download Files.
- Automatic Blog Post Images The Sueetie Addon Pack includes a Blog Post Thumbnail addon with multiple options, including author avatar, post category and auto-generated thumbnail from post's first image. We should create these images automatically.
- Logging Controls Greater flexibility in logging actions to Site Activity Stream at the time of content creation. Also, more rules based on restrictive content. For instance, uploading media to secure album should not be logged.
- List View Anchor Wraps and No Item Views - Newest List View Controls support HTML Anchors and defined "No Content" View HTML Templates. We want to make sure all List View Controls have the same functionality.
- RSS Feed Descriptions - Include more descriptive info on Site Activity feed entry include more descriptive info. Reference.
- SQL2005 Install script tweaks - Apply SQL2005 compatibility tweaks provided by Jeff Reference.
To-Do Wishlist Items
These are wishlist items that are good ideas, but not planned for Sueetie v4.1. When they move from the To-Do Wishlist to To-Do Specifics they're real.
- Registered-Only Access to calendars, walls, etc - Add the ability to prevent non-registered users from viewing walls, calendars and certain other Sueetie content. Reference.
- People Widget - Based on Google's user mouseover popup in Gmail displaying profile information and user activity. Reference.
- Dashboard Display Flexibility - Ability to display content and features on the Member Dashboard based on Role and other criteria. Reference
- Blog Post List Image Control Plus - Using the Images generated by the Post List Image Control for navigation. "You may also be interesting in..." kind of thing.
- User Activity New Activity Types Have site activity items regarding calendar entries show up as “%calendar_name% - ….” instead of “Unknown or Other - ….” as they currently do in site activity/RSS. Reference

- Further Blog-Media Gallery Integration - Ability to select photos and media objects from blog editors. Reference.

- Content Picker Control - A dialog box popup which enables the selection of links to Sueetie Content from any other applicatoin for insertion into Wall messages and comments.
- Reader Roles - Admin UI-controlled roles for Walls and Calendars Reference.
- CMS TextParts - Bracketed BBCode-type elements for replacing the bracketed textkey with HTML code were added in Sueetie v4.0 for blogs. Would like to employ in CMS pages as well.
- LocalTime Adjustments - Certain processes like the recording of Community Activities are based on server time, and not adjusted for local time preference. Reference.
Ongoing Development
- Marketplace - Sueetie Marketplace and eCommerce features will remain an important part of ongoing Sueetie Development.
- Site Analytics - Sueetie Analytics is another core function to be integrated throughout all application processes. Leaderboards, campaigns, badgets, member points, reports on user engagement and new user behavior.
- Member Dashboard - A Community is all about its members, and members need an interesting, informative and fun place to call home. A Member Dashboard based on YetAnotherForum.NET's User Profile services will serve as the starting point for new features centered around the user and his or her activities and relationships with other community members
- Themes- Sueetie needs themes, lots of them. If Web Designers don't use the Lollipop and Chiclet Theme Packs to create and sell them in the Sueetie Marketplace, we will.
- More Mr. Saltie - Saltie is an extension to Sueetie for developers to create custom features and behaviors. Saltie was included in Atomo Version 2.0. You can read more about Saltie here.
- Groups- Community private and shared subsets with reduced application functionality.
- Continued Localization Improvements - Sueetie Applications are localized. Areas of the framework will receive ongoing Localization attention until Sueetie is 100% localized
- More Sharing Functionality - Greater inclusion and reach of Social Sharing functionality throughout Sueetie.
- Mobile, Mobile, Mobile - Sueetie was one of the first community applications to support mobile with its Chiclet Theme. More attention to mobile, for web, jQuery and native architectures, with investment in the creation of oData data feeds of Sueetie application content.
